the ones that have 4 LEDs around the middle and 1 on top? Sounds like the same ones I use. I found that before you plug them in the twist-on socket you need to add (solder) a little larger copper wire to the leads so they make better connections with the contacts in the socket. Also, the socket contacts have two sides to make contact with the lamp leads when you plug it in. They get spread open too wide so you need to pinch those two sides closer together before you plug in the LED. I use a dremel with a small round sanding wheel to take off about 5mm of the ends of all the light diffusers so the LEDs will comfortably clear them. It has no effect in the quality of the lighting.
